HGVzero – a cross-industry action group featuring some of Europe’s largest shippers and hauliers including Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Tesco, XPO Logistics, Eddie Stobart and DPDgroup – will deliver a session entitled ‘Leading the decarbonisation of HGVs in Europe‘ at this year’s Transport + Energy Forum event.
Unlocking the future of net zero heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) is critical to the full decarbonisation of the logistics sector. That’s why the HGVzero action group was launched – to accelerate the decarbonisation of the members collective HGV fleets across the continent.
Hear how the HGVzero partnership is working together to address this urgent business challenge, through innovation and collaboration at the Transport + Energy Forum in Birmingham on 17th November. The panel will feature:
- Matt Pumfrey, Chief Executive Officer at Innovation Gateway (moderator)
- Dr Nicholas Head, Environmental and Sustainability Lead – UK and Ireland at XPO Logistics
- Graeme Cooper, Head of Future Markets at National Grid
- A representative from Green 2 Delivery – an innovative business which is aiming to be the UK’s first zero emissions nationwide home delivery company
About the Event
The inaugural Transport + Energy Forum – takes place on 17th November at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre and will focus on immediate steps that need to be taken to decarbonise now. The event is being supported by a number of industry partners including strategic transport partnership group Black Country Transport (BCT), National Highways, EVA England and Energy Networks Association.
Spaces for local councils will be provided free of charge so that each participating company is guaranteed access to local government officers who sit at the heart of this transition.
