Green Rewards launches new global engagement platform at Insight Seminar

- Blog

Green Rewards held an insight seminar on Practical Engagement in Sustainability and Wellbeing at the iconic October Gallery in central London at which the specialist engagement company unveiled its new global platform.

The seminar included a panel session on building the business case for engagement, chaired by Amanda Carpenter of The Legal Sustainability Alliance and another panel chaired by Henry Majed from the Innovation Gateway on exploiting technology to embed behaviour change.

Following a successful pilot in 2016, RBS rolled out JUMP to all the Bank’s 60,000 UK & Ireland colleagues across 1,700 workplaces.

Other speakers included representatives from the Royal Bank of Scotland, the University of Strathclyde, Bournemouth University, Greenstone, and the London Borough of Bexley. There were over 70 attendees from the financial sector, university sector, private and public sectors.

Topics covered reducing single use plastics, embedding the SDG’s and how to plan and implement an effective engagement programme.

In 2016 the programme generated 5% average electricity reduction, 500,000 disposable cups saved and RBS expects to save £3million in 2017 in energy alone.

Henry Majed from Innovation Gateway comments: “Our partner RBS has led the way in the financial sector by using JUMP to engage RBS colleagues around the world in energy saving, reducing plastics and much more, and it’s great to see JUMP going from strength with new clients across many sectors.”

Findings of an interactive survey carried out on the day showed that gaining top level buy-in is the single biggest opportunity to boost sustainability at the organisational level. See full survey results below:

Green Rewards closed the seminar by launching a new global platform with country leader boards, multi-language functionality and integration with other apps including Fitbit, Outlook calendars and exciting new Artificial Intelligence.
